Frédéric Chopin [show-pan] (February 22 or March 1, 1810-October 17, 1849) Frédéric Chopin was a Polish composer of the Romantic period and grew up mostly in Warsaw. Debussy's private life was often turbulent. Ives was an experimental and innovative composer but did not achieve recognition until near the end of his life. With the sonatas of 1915–1917 there is a sudden shift in the style. This piece was included into the Ballet 'La boite a joujoux' as a dance.

The relationship with Bardac and his strong feelings for their only child, Claude-Emma, nicknamed Chouchou, brought genuine happiness to the composer's life. These abilities can partially be linked to Debussy’s relationship with art. “He was friends with Rodin,” says Stillman, “He wrote ‘I love images almost as much as music.’” So you might expect his work Images to channel a painting or color, but Debussy captures more than the visual in his pieces.

This lady, whose name was Mme Maute de Fleurville, was per- haps the first person to sense the latent genius in the boy Debussy; at any rate, after hearing him play, she insisted on giving him piano lessons for nothing, and very soon was urging his parents to send him to the Paris Conservatoire. They were married in 1851 and between then and 1855 had four daughters. His father, Johann Ambrosius Bach, had been a town musician, and probably gave Bach his early music lessons.

Unfortunately for us, but fortunately for parched Sydney with it's nearby bush fires, the very hot and sunny weather ceased and it rained for those two days but we were happy to laze about doing some local walks, puzzles, scrabble etc while everyone else was either working, at school or preparing for the school ball (Oh to be 17 again, not that I actually want to be!!) And it was so special to catch up with all the family as they landed at home again each evening.

Thus, the only choral passage presents distant sailors lost at sea (thus symbolically encapsulating the overall theme), the only sustained notes highlight moments of extreme emotion (both of love and anger), and the only overlap of voices heightens the lovers panicked fear of discovery by the menacing Golaud. perhaps the most intriguing aspect of Debussys inspired structure has been the persistent critical comparisons with Wagner. That's pronounced "FOO-chik," ya dirty kid, ya. Among these were the symphonic suite Printemps and a cantata, La demoiselle lue, based on a poem, The Blessed Damozel, by the British writer Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Debussy made a significant addition to the French song repertoire, capturing the spirit, in particular, of the work of poets like Verlaine and Mallarm, but also turning to earlier poets, including Villon and Charles d'Orlans.
